GUAM’S BEST SCHOOL ABOUT TO BE DESTROYED!!!

FQ Sanchez only has six classes and six teachers (Kindergarten through fifth grade) and due to the pitifully small budget that the legislature gave GPSS management is transferring two of the Special Contract (“double dippers”) teachers to a middle school and then they will combine the first and second grade classes and the third and fourth grade classes. While this may save money on paper it damages these children’s learning environment. Year after year, school boards and superintendents have try to close this jewel of the south and time after time the community has fought and won for their children’s future and this time will be no different. Jesus once said, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ They may be Guam’s smallest school, in one of our smallest villages but they still deserve us to fight for them. President Rector, “We should be raising our children’s quality of education not lowering it. The quality of every single child’s education needs to be a priority for all of us. This is how we give our kids a chance at a decent future and build the type of community that we all want to live in. I encourage everyone to call the superintendent’s office and ask her preserve this school and not transfer these teachers.”
