THANKS TO THE COC HUNDREDS OF FAMILIES CAN’T AFFORD A THANKSGIVING MEAL

For hundreds of families, a free meal at The Salvation Army Lighthouse Recovery Center’s 12th Annual Thanksgiving Lunch was all they could afford. This is a perfect example of how our economy isn’t working for us. If everyone was given a decent living wage then families would be able to buy food at the grocery store and have a nice, home-cooked meal for Thanksgiving. Instead, majority of the people on Guam earn below the poverty line and are under food stamps. The COC has destroyed our economy by catering to wealthy corporations and helping them get richer while the working class stays stagnant with poverty level jobs. We can build an economy that works for everyone and one way is by having big corporations pay their fair share of taxes and stop giving them 10 year tax breaks!
