VICTORY!!! AG AGREES WITH GFT THAT TEACHERS MUST BE PAID

Some short sited management officials at GPSS went behind the backs of the Board and attempted to exploit teachers by essentially docking their pay and asked for an AGs opinion to justify it. Fortunately, there were two clauses added to the teachers current CBA during the last negotiations which protected teachers from such exploitation, and after careful analysis assistant AG Deborah Rivera concurred with GFTs opinion. Teachers that taught extra days because their school was closed will be paid at their normal hourly rate thanks to Art 9j in their CBA. To read the AGs opinion click here
