Industry-based bargaining between the union and the employers association of the metal industry reached a collective agreement (CA) without resorting to strike. Since 2003, when central-level bargaining of the metal industry was initiated, this is the first time that CA has been concluded without strike at participating workplaces (96 workplaces, 23,000 employees).
