Films by Youth Inside (FYI) is thrilled to announce its third filmmaking workshop on Guam, courtesy of funding by the Department of Youth Affairs, Pacific Islanders in Communications, Pacific Islands Club, Gannett, Rotary Club: Sunrise Chapter, and Guam Humanities Council. Beginning on August 17 and ending on Sept 1, Chamorro filmmaker Alex Munoz and local instructors will work with youth at the DYA facilities to write, act, direct, and produce a short narrative film. We are confident that this experience for the youth will encourage them to reflect on their life experiences and decisions, and to positively channel their talents into a compelling medium.
