Tomorrow, April 28, is the day when we commemorate our workers who have been injured, sick or who died on the job. Every year, there are hundreds of incidents that occur in the workplace on Guam. Unions have been fighting for better working conditions for years so that our workers can do their jobs in a safe environment. As workers and employers, bad working conditions must be reported and acted upon immediately. We cannot jeopardize the lives of our workers and the people they serve. Let’s continue to protect our workers by being aware of our work environment. Take a moment tomorrow and remember our workers who have been victims of unsafe working conditions.
