This 4th of July celebration should remind us of the many people who have moved to America in hopes of living a better and prosperous life. Guam may not be a state but we are all part of the country that symbolizes liberty and prosperity. Unfortunately, we are currently facing tough economic times, but we need to stay hopeful and positive. There is obviously something wrong in our system if majority of our families are struggling. We need to make the changes in our island that will enable our families to live the prosperous life our country has promised. Our families deserve good, middle class jobs, affordable and quality health care, quality education, and fully funded public services. Everyone in our island deserves a decent life not just the privileged few. Speak out and ensure our elected leaders pass bills that will improve the quality of our lives.
