Bill 229 will reduce scholarship funding for future teachers and take away professional development training for current ones which will damage DOE’s ability to retain the teachers that our children so desperately need!
Bill 231 will reduce the amount of Scholarships available to our children such as the DOC Sanchez scholarship, Merit Awards, Nursing loan, etc. Bill 231 takes away a valuable opportunity for our children to obtain higher education that will benefit Guam’s economy in the long run.
