Harley-Davidson Inc., the biggest U.S. motorcycle maker, will start talks in coming weeks with union workers in York, Pennsylvania, to decide the fate of the company’s largest U.S. manufacturing facility.
Harley has a plan that may keep the plant open with the union local acceptance of work-rule changes, said Pat Sweeney, a spokeswoman. The Milwaukee-based motorcycle maker is still pursuing a second option to relocate production to Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee. continue reading
