INVEST IN OUR CURRENT PUBLIC WORKERS!

Performance Management Contracts (PMC): Is this better for the people of Guam? The issue on PMCs has currently been one of the heated discussions our legislature. This is an effort to hire private companies to manage government operations, facilities, and/or services. This will actually cost the people of Guam more money because we would basically be handing off control over our public facilities to a For-Profit Company. There is no proven research that PMCs will make our public agencies more efficient. Instead, we should invest in training our current public workers in making our public services more efficient and cost-effective to the people of Guam.
