“Jobs, Justice and Peace” was the theme of the March in Washington for jobs and freedom in August 28, 1963 lead by Martin Luther King Jr. and civil rights, labor and religious organizations. King delivered his infamous “I Have a Dream” speech, one of the greatest speeches made in history. 40 years ago ethnic minority groups were fighting for equal voting rights, jobs, educations, etc. King led a movement that changed our country and brought us to the way we are today, people of all races and backgrounds having the opportunity to vote, work, and receive education. We have come a long way, but we still need to continue King’s fight. Working families across the nation have the power to make our lives better; we have the power to create better “Jobs, Justice and Peace”. Click here to watch a video
