After the great news for DOE Teachers, counselors, and librarians receiving a raise, now the rest of Guam’s working families need a raise. Senator Rector has proposed two bills intended to raise our standard of living. Bill 180 gives all public servants a $10,880 pay raise and Bill 111 requires businesses that does business or receives tax subsidies from GovGuam to pay their employees a living wage of $13.40/hour. With over half of the population making below the poverty line, it’s time we raise our wages so that our families can live a decent and comfortable lifestyle. It’s going to take each and every one of us to make this happen so let your senators know that Guam needs a raise!
