The PDN’s editorial in Friday’s paper basically states that our public servants and their families should bear the burden of getting a pay-cut for services and positions that are not a priority. Why should, for example, a clerk suffer and not everyone else? What makes that clerk and his or her family not important? It doesn’t make sense to take away money from people who aren’t even making that much to begin with. Our working families can’t be singled out from the rest of the community, especially for a dump that everyone uses. For years GFT has been fighting for fairness with everyone in the community. Our economy has been catered far too long for the wealthy that have robbed our working families from having a decent life. Follow your elected officials and see that they are working on other solutions. Stay with us as we continue our fight for a better quality of life.
