The GFT successfully fought for the 15 day Teacher furlough in 2003. The 15 day furlough was challenged by the GFT and both the Civil Service Commission and the courts agreed and ordered DOE to pay the teachers back. DOE has yet to make these payments. GFT has requested the court to enforce the payments be made immediately. We are now waiting on the judges’ decision.
