WHAT WOULD IT BE LIKE IF YOU GOT A $10,880 INFLATION ADJUSTMENT?

“This morning I woke up and took a shower with a smirk, and imagined what it would be like if I got a $10,800 raise. With a sigh, I said to myself, ‘Gosh, maybe it would be a chance to finally qualify for a brand new home.’ With my 1 year old son in mind, it would give him the opportunity to have his own bedroom, have his own house when he grows up. I have hope and dreams with this bill. I thought to myself am I worth a $10,800 dollar raise? I said, ‘Yes, of course why not.’ I’ve worked for everything I have in my life which is not much: my bachelor’s degree, a car, some clothes, and food.”- Bill 30-180 Supporter. It’s time to turn Guam’s economy around and we can start by giving public servants a $10,880 inflation adjustment. We can fund this by passing Bill 111 The Living Wage for Families Act which will require companies that receive tax breaks to pay their employees $13.40/hr.
