The 8th Annual CHamoru Language Competition with support from the Guam Visitors Bureau, the Guam Council on the Arts and Humanities Agency, the Office of the Governor of Guam, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Mayors Council of Guam will have forty-four schools represented in the competition among public and private elementary, middle, and high schools from Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan says Peter R. Onedera, assistant professor and organizer of the event. The competition is going to be the largest ever and will be held from 8am to 5pm, Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the UOG fieldhouse during the university’s annual Charter Day festivities. The event is free and open to the general public.
