BUILDING A BETTER PUBLIC EDUCATION THROUGH CBA’s!

While we have constantly been campaigning for a fully funded education system for the past years, our legislature has yet to even come close to what we should be investing in DOE based on the US Department of Education’s statistics. One of our current efforts to improve public education is by implementing action through the upcoming Teachers’ Contract negotiations. Every Monday for the past month, our Teachers’ Contract Committee has been meeting and coming up with various ways to create a contract that will not only improve working conditions for DOE faculty and staff but most importantly provide a better education for our children. Bringing back Music, Art, and PE Specialists in elementary schools is just one of the many ideas we would like included in the contract which will help increase our children’s learning ability and performance.
