GFT has been using new and different ways of communicating with our members via our website, eUpdate Newsletter, The Working Family TV Show (FOX6 Sundays 5:30pm and Tuesdays 7:30pm), Social Networks (Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, and Islander Registry), GTA SMS weekly alerts and recently our Quarterly Direct Mailer. Improving our communication with members is and has always been an on-going process that we will continue to expand. We are here for our members but it takes each member to make the extra step to go through the process of getting things done. We don’t always know what’s happening in your workplace until you bring it up to us then we can move forward. When you feel that something isn’t right at work, take a look at your contract. If something has happened that is against the contract, then you can go through the Grievance Process. You can visit our website www.gftunion.com and use our new search engine for the Grievance Procedure steps 1 through 4 or any other information regarding the union or community. When in doubt, you can always call the office and we will direct you to the right person to help you with your situation.
