GFT STAFF VISITS ALL DOE SCHOOLS

The entire GFT staff has been visiting schools during teachers’ lunch hours since last week in efforts to recruit new members as well as talking to current members about their issues and concerns at the workplace. We are also handing out surveys for current members to fill out. Negotiations for the Teachers’ Contract will be starting up next year so it’s important that we know what our members would like implemented in the next contract. Discussions with our members during these visits as well as the surveys will give us an idea of what we can address during the upcoming negotiations the best we can. This will be an ongoing project not only for DOE but for the rest of agencies.
