GUAM’S CHILDREN DESERVE A FULLY FUNDED DOE!!!

DOE’s budget has gone down by over $35Million over the last four years alone!!! That’s a 16.5% reduction! No wonder our schools are falling apart and our teachers are struggling to give our children the quality of education they deserve. According to Guam’s Bureau of Statistics and Plans, Guam has had over six percent inflation every year since 2007. In order for DOE just to receive the same Budget as in FY07 for FY10 they should have received almost $209Million as opposed to the $196Million that was allocated. It’s time the legislature starts fully funding DOE as opposed to cutting our children’s budget every single year!!!
