PROTECTING OUR WORKERS & BUILDING THE UNION!

GFT Stewards, Executive officers, and staff are currently in training on “Protecting the Workers/Building the Union” with Robin Baker, Director of Labor Occupational Health Program at UC Berkley, to discuss Guam’s issues with safety and health in the various public agencies. One of the main concerns we have on island is the lack of enforcement on OSHA standards. Fortunately, this training will help our members better understand different ways to address health and safety issues in the local and federal level.
