Senator Matt Rector spoke with State legislators from almost every state and union experts during a conference call with the National Labor Caucus regarding Guam’s status in National Health Care Reform yesterday morning. “In both the Senate & House version Guam and the territories have received significant benefits in Healthcare reform thanks to our efforts!”- Senator Rector. Prior to our efforts calling, emailing and signing petitions, and Senator Rector’s personal lobbying of US Senators and Representatives, Guam and the territories were specifically exempted from the Senate’s health care Bill. Fortunately, our voices have been heard by our friends in Congress which should mean millions of additional federal health care dollars coming to Guam. The final results are being hammered out in congress right now and President Obama is hopeful of having a final Bill passed in the next couple of weeks. Watch Matts Lawyer Speaks Pt 2
