After months of delays the new Guam Education Policy Board finally took a vote on the Support Staff contract. Thanks to Barry Mead’s motion, they decided to go back into negotiations. Mr. Mead stated that there were illegal provisions in the CBA. Even after President Rector pointed out Guam’s chief legal officers had already approved the agreement, other board members voted with Mr. Mead. Not only is this a sad day for our hard working support staff but for the rest of DOE employees and all of Guam’s people that believe in justice and fairness as well.
