Half. That’s all the Legislature and the Governor must think our families are worth because that’s what they allocated in the FY’12 budget. Half the National Average per person, not just for public education but for our entire public structure (GU$3,878/person, US State avg$8,328/person). While Guam’s richest 1% and the big corporations continue to profit from artificially low wages, tax breaks and public giveaways, our families’ suffering increases.
