President Matt Rector sent a letter yesterday to the Port Authority’s General Manager, Pedro Leon Guerrero, following up on the union’s request to resume negotiations.  “Our members are quite anxious to conclude the collective bargaining process with the Port of Guam and would like to get back to the negotiating table as soon as possible,” stated Rector in the letter.  GFT has presented a contract but has not received any counter proposals that were in good faith.  Therefore pursuant to 2 GARR §5112, GFT proposes to obtain services of Inafa’Maolek to serve as a mediator for any disagreements so that workers at the Port can finally get a contract.  View letter
