For over 40 years, our Board Union Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) for DOE faculty and Support staff has been in existence helping improve our children’s education that they deserve and our island needs. These CBA’s are living documents that are always changing through the negotiation process, to deal with challenges, keep up with the times and implement innovation. Thanks to Speaker Won Pat’s amendment to Public Law 31-19, GFT members have more voice in our public education and the opportunity to properly appoint a representative as opposed to having the board select our representative. President Rector has been appointed as a non-voting member of the Guam Education Policy board and is ready to continue this proud tradition of collaboration.
