President Rector congratulates Governor Calvo on his victory and looks forward to working with him and his administration on improving Guam’s public structure and the services it provides for our families. Rector explains the importance of having our public workers give inputs on their working conditions through collective bargaining and hopes to meet with Governor Calvo soon to resolve some of the outstanding labor issues surrounding our members. “An active union membership is actually a great benefit for upper management and should be used as a tool to make our public agencies as efficient and productive as possible. A collective bargaining agreement establishes a fixed set of rules for both management and labor to live and has a process built in so that upper management always has feedback from the ground level”, President Rector.
