WILL DIRECTORS SUPPORT THEIR WORKERS?

GFT will be sending more follow up letters to the directors of the Department of Public Works (DPW), Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse (DMHSA), and Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH) to resume negotiations for our bus drivers and receive exclusive recognition for the psych techs and allied health professionals. We will also be sending letters to the Fire Chief to resume negotiations for our fire fighters as well as the Guam Education Policy Board to approve the contract for support staff and begin negotiations for the Teachers’ Contract. Many of these issues have been dragging and have had no progress from management. Unfair Labor Practices will be filed should management decide not to move forward with these important issues.
