We have stood up and fought for justice and fairness by enforcing the current contracts through the grievance process and at the Civil Service Commission, despite the challenges our members face with collective bargaining agreements. While we are still battling with collective bargaining issues, together we have won many great victories: getting the teachers’ contract extended, winning contracts and raises for DODEA Bus Drivers and workers of Rome Research, keeping public workers from being wrongfully fired and putting thousands of dollars into members’ pockets all of which have improved their quality of life. We have much to look forward to in 2012. Hopefully together we can help all of Guam’s Working families achieve decent middle class careers, decent public services and great public schools but these things never happen by themselves and are only achieved when we stand united and make our collective voices heard, because “Together We Win”!!!
