Did you know that according to the Teachers’ contract, Article VI, 6.E.:
SUBSTITUTION DURING PREPARATION TIME
Teacher subject preparation is sacrosanct. This section is intended specifically for
emergency circumstances. Teachers who request to substitute during their preparation
period must do so in writing to the school principal. School principals may not assign
teachers to substitute during their preparation periods without first having received a
written request from that teacher. A teacher shall be paid for substituting during his/her
preparation period at a rate equal to his/her annual salary divided by 2,080.
