GFT EXECUTIVE COUNCIL APPOINTS PARAPROFESSIONAL HEDALIZA MAFNAS

The Executive Council has appointed paraprofessional, Hedaliza Mafnas, to the vacant seat in the DOE Board of Education.  She will be addressing the issues with the school board and their refusal to sign the DOE Support Staff collective bargaining agreement, which has been in their possession for well over a year.  The voice of our paraprofessionals is very important as they are a vital part of a great education system.  Teachers recognize their importance, and we hope the school board does as well.
