The union representing nearly 2,000 Nstar workers reached a tentative, 11th-hour deal with negotiators for the electric and gas utility late Friday, averting a possible strike by employees facing rising health insurance costs and reduced sick days.  Dan Hurley, president of the Utility Workers Union of America AFL-CIO, Local 369, said the union preserved 250 jobs at Nstar’s Westwood call center.  “We wanted to protect those jobs. They are good Massachusetts jobs. We were afraid they were going to shift them to Connecticut,” said Hurley, who represents 1,900 linemen and other utility workers.
