PORT MEMBERS RATIFY CONTRACT!

One hundred percent of the members ratifying the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) say YES!  Members met last Friday and all have agreed on the CBA.  Today, President Tim Fedenko signed the CBA and it has been forwarded to the Governor’s office for signature.  We all know an efficient Port is imperative to our living conditions and economic growth.  Having a CBA not only protects our people from unsafe working conditions but also ensures they have a voice in the Port’s efficiency.  This also promotes workers who are qualified, certified professionals the upward mobility based on merit, not other issues.  With a CBA, workers will be able to collaborate with management in identifying issues and creating solutions that continue to make the Port operate smoothly.  When workers are safe and have a voice in their day to day operations, the better they perform!
