Guam’s law enforcement & safety officials risk their lives every day to protect and serve our island. There is a reason why police officers carry a gun, and it’s not to kill people but to save victims and defend themselves under dangerous situations. For this reason, they deserve Hazardous pay for putting their lives on the line. Sadly, instead of protecting those who protect us, our Lt. Governor proposes to remove this compensation. Guam’s police officers are already one of the lowest paid in the nation. The last thing we want to do is cut more pay, it doesn’t help our families and it doesn’t help Guam’s economy.
