Public schools throughout the island are standing up against bullying this month.  Bullying has become a big issue that our community needs to address.  According to the National Association of School Psychologists, 160,000 students stay home from school every day for fear of bullying.  Last year, the American Federation of Teachers started a “See A Bully, Stop A Bully: Make A Difference” campaign.  This year, a nationwide event, Stand 4 Change, was launched to spread the message that “Bullying is not acceptable in our schools or in our communities.”  Spread the message to your children and let them know Bullying is not right.  If your child is being bullied or is a bully, then please talk to their school counselor for help.   As a community let’s work together to help end bullying today!
