Thank you!!! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this great union and your lives. When I arrived in Guam in 1990 I thought I would only stay for a couple of months. I never thought that I would be a teacher, a union activist; a fighter for Guam’s working families or a senator. Now I’m about to embark on a new chapter of my life, I have no idea where it will take me, but no matter where I go or what I do, Guam, GFT and your families will be with me. WHAT MAKES GUAM GREAT!!!
I came to Guam after living and traveling around Asia and Australia and fell in love with our way of life. We took care of each other. A GovGuam job wasn’t going to get you rich but you could live on it. It had decent insurance and a decent retirement plan. As time went by and I started getting more involved in the union I started to learn where all of these things that made our life decent came from. They weren’t a gift from God but actions taken by Senators that cared about our families. Unfortunately, as I saw this starting to slip away I decided that we needed to do everything possible to stop it sliding any further. Together we accomplished a lot and I pray that each and every one of you will get involved with GFT and stay active so that hopefully you can turn the tide and start winning back what your families have lost.

GFT members are blessed to have a good man as president. Tim has been by my side on this wonderful adventure since day one. He has given more to our great union than is humanly possible, but he can’t win for your families without your help. It will take everyone and their families to stand together in order to fight off these most recent attacks. Have faith, we have done it before and you will do it again because your cause is true and just.
