Guam Cancer Care is a non-profit organization whose key objective is to provide direct services to cancer patients.  Guam Cancer Care provides FREE professional support services to any Guam resident adversely affected by cancer.  Such services include: patient navigation and advocacy, cancer screening programs, financial assistance, counseling, support groups, outreach and patient transportation.

Guam Cancer Care would like to reach out to our teachers in getting their school and students involved with the “Join The Fight” Relay launching in this month and taking place on September 28, 2013.  Each school (middle and high school) will have up to 4 teams for the relay.  Elementary schools will do a runathon (details to follow).  Businesses will team up with each school and provide logistical, technical and operational support, whether it be to pay for team uniforms, supplies for the race, or to help raise funds for the team’s donation to the event. 50% of all the proceeds donated by each team will go to Guam Cancer Care and the remaining 50% of all proceeds donated by each team will go to the team’s adopted school to promote their sports and health programs. GFT encourages our teacher members to get their students involved in this great cause. It’s a good opportunity to help our cancer patients and their families as well as help promote healthy living in our schools.  For more information regarding the event, you may contact the Guam Cancer Care office at 969-2223.
