AFT Western Regional Director, Gerard Friesz, spoke to members at the GFT General Membership meeting about the issues they are facing and how to overcome these challenges. Friesz reminds members of the power they have as a united body and the work they need to do in order to find solutions to these issues. Friesz also assures members that the AFT will provide all the support GFT needs to improve the quality of life for its members. By the end of the meeting, members were empowered and motivated to make a change in their union by using the power of a collective voice to mobilize and educate their colleagues as well as the community of the issues at stake.
