It is important that members attend the next General Membership meeting on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the GFT compound starting at 6pm. Members should have received a special GFT direct mailer packet which included the proposed amendment to the GFT Articles of Incorporation (Constitution). Members will be voting on the amendment. Members will also have an opportunity to meet with AFT Western Regional Director, Gerard Friesz, at the meeting. Mr. Friesz along with two other representatives from the American Federation of Teachers are visiting the island and assisting GFT on various union projects, collective bargaining agreements, and conducting a research project on some of Guam’s public workers.
