The Teacher Furlough case has reached the Guam Supreme Court in which GFT’s Attorney and DOE’s Attorney presented their arguments before three Justices: Robert Torres, Katherine Maraman and Alexander Castro.  GFT’s Attorney represented the 880 teachers affected by the furlough and argued that they are owed for the two weeks that they were not paid in SY'03-'04.  Each Justice questioned both parties thoroughly, examining all possible interpretations.  A decision will not be made until about three to four months from now as they will be reviewing the case.
