Melanie Blas, GFT member and teacher at Simon Sanchez High School, received the Presidential Innovation Award from the US Environmental Protection Agency at the White House this week. Blas has been teaching for the Guam Department of Education for about 17 years and had also received the Magpro Award last school year for the community service and volunteerism efforts she lead with her students in protecting our environment and natural resources. Congratulations for your achievements and representing Guam!
