GFT submitted a letter to the Office of Senator Won Pat seeking changes in Bill 420 which included language on educator professional conduct that can cause serious problems. The bill was forwarded to the Legislature for voting without the changes and passed. GFT is now reaching out to Governor Calvo to veto Bill 420. GFT sent Governor Calvo a letter explaining the problems along with petition signatures from educators in various schools asking the Governor Calvo to veto the bill and send it back to the Guam Commission for Education Certification to hold a true public hearing. All educators holding a certification are encouraged to reach out to the Governor for his support.
