BREACH OF CONTRACT AGAINST PORT?

In January of this year, GFT filed a Writ of Mandate ordering Joanne Brown of the Port Authority of Guam to forward the Collective Bargaining Agreement to the Attorney General.  However, Judge Mike Bordallo has determined that there are more appropriate actions that GFT can take rather than using the Writ of Mandate. Bordallo has recognized that there was an agreement between GFT and the Port Authority.  Bordallo therefore concludes GFT can make a claim, through normal court procedures as opposed to Writ procedures, for a breach of contract against the Port Authority.  GFT will be consulting with its Attorney to discuss its options and determine the next action to be taken.
