Educators, parents, and all other stakeholders filled the public hearing room at the Guam Legislature during the roundtable discussion on the safety of students in general and special education programs. The lack of personnel, training and the administrative process in handling fights at schools were just a few of the many concerns brought up in the discussion. GFT Field Representative, Dan Del Priore, suggests that a survey might help address these concerns by receiving input from those in the field such as the school aides. Del Priore adds that GFT representatives and leaders are willing to work with DOE and the Legislature in developing solutions to these problems.
