Teachers voiced their concerns on Public Law 32-236 regarding Professional Educator Conduct at the Informational Hearing held by Senator Nerissa Underwood last week. A number of provisions in the law needed clarification. For example, immoral behavior was too vague. What is immoral behavior and who determines what immoral behavior is? Teachers expressed that they were not against the passage of the entire law but wanted certain language in the law amended and clarified. GFT will be following up with Senator Underwood this week on her plans to move forward with the issues.
