As stated in a Joint Press Release by both GFT and GDOE, negotiation teams have been meeting weekly for the last several months in order to negotiate a new contract for teachers. GFT and DOE are working collaboratively to reach a Good Contract; in the best interest of the Teachers and the Students they serve. The negotiations remain ongoing. A better idea of a finalization date will be discernable during the January 2016 negotiation sessions.
