GFT Field Representative, Dan Del Priore, sent a letter to Human Resources at the Department of Administration regarding two job announcements for Customs and Quarantine.  The announcements included the fitness requirements set forth by the new P.O.S.T. standards.  GFT requested that the P.O.S.T. requirement be removed as it will not take into effect until three years after the adoption of the Rules and Regulations.  The adoption took place in 2014, so the three years has not expired.

Del Priore along with members of Customs and Quarantine also reached out to Senator Frank Aguon for his support in GFT’s request.  With the efforts of GFT and the support of Senator Aguon, the Department of Administration responded and confirmed that the P.O.S.T. standards will not be a requirement for the two job announcements.
