At this month’s Guam Education Board meeting, GDOE Superintendent, Jon Fernandez, stated a letter will be forthcoming regarding teachers who are owed payments for BRIP (Bonus, Rewards, and Incentives Program). Mark Mendiola, Board Chair for the Finance Committee, also acknowledged the issue is in their agenda for discussion.
The Board had directed GDOE to work with GFT in gathering information from teachers claiming the owed pay after GFT members and stewards expressed that many teachers eligible in the program have been owed the pay for several years now.
