The Hospital Administrator and Human Resources of the Guam Memorial Hospital Authority (GMHA) have reviewed the renewal of the Nurses’ Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and requested for a change in one section of the agreement. Negotiation teams for both GFT and GMHA will need to schedule a negotiation meeting to address the change. The revised CBA renewal should be ready for review by the GMHA Board of Trustees by the next board meeting.

A number of items were negotiated in the CBA that addressed concerns in several aspects of the working conditions of our nurses. Safe staffing, floating to other units, overtime justification and pay and leave periods were among some of the important issues advocated in the CBA.
