After 6 long years of negotiating, the GFT – GDOE Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) was approved and ratified in a unanimous vote by the Guam Education Board! The CBA was signed by Board Chairman, Peter Alecxis Ada, Guam Department of Education Acting Superintendent, Taling Taitano, and GFT President, Timothy Fedenko.  The CBA will now be submitted to the Attorney General and Governor for final signature.

"We sat down with the idea of Teachers and Students.  It was student driven.  We looked at what we would want for our children…negotiations wasn't easy, sometimes rough but we all worked together," Fedenko explained.  Fedenko expressed the new spirit of cooperation between the Board and the Union and hopes it radiates throughout the island.
